Leon Perez is a seasoned Partner at GFG Holdings, the holding company of GFG Real Estate Asset Management, GFG Securities, and GFG Capital.
With over 25 years of expertise in investment banking, private equity, and asset management, Leon oversees GFG’s provision of expert guidance to domestic and international hospitality and real estate companies on asset management, as well as debt and equity capital raising services. Additionally, GFG offers advisory services to hotel owners and developers on brand selection, franchise negotiation, and management contracts.
Under Leon’s leadership, GFG has secured over $2.5 billion in construction and term loan facilities, as well as asset sales in the hospitality and real estate sectors. His exceptional leadership skills and wealth of experience in the investment banking and private equity industries make him an invaluable asset to the GFG team.
Prior to joining GFG, Leon held senior positions at Latin America Communications Partners, a private equity group, where he was a valued member of the Board of Directors for several portfolio companies. Before that, he worked in the Latin America Private Equity division of Deutsche Bank Capital Partners (previously Bankers Trust Inc).
Leon graduated Cum Laude from Babson College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance/Investments and Management Information Systems, with a minor in Economics.
